Competitions Changes for 2007

Registration and Transfers for 2007.

Please register grades 1 to 4 only with the registration secretary (RS).

All performers registered with the RS must have competitive membership or equivalent. Any performer registered with non-competitive membership will be required to upgrade.
If you have already registered your performers for 2007 please inform the RS which performers need to be removed from your list.
The RS must be informed of all transfers.
No notification = no change of club and could lead to an entry being refused.
When a competitor transfers / leaves they must be given a transfer form to be sent to BG.
Please send a copy of this form, or use the form from the 2007 competitions pack, to the RS.

Competition Entry Grades 1 and 2

No Grade 1 or Grade 2 entries will be accepted without a fully completed form and payment

Please ensure that
All sections of the entry form are completed; ~ BG number, date of birth etc otherwise the entry may be refused. The only exception is team nomination which may be done on the day.
The paper copy and payment for any online entries are sent to BG by the closing date otherwise the entry will not be valid.
If there is any problem with the entry e.g. unable to print the list or you wish to change anything please contact Yvonne Matthews at BG, on or before the closing date, to discuss the problem.

Provisional Entries.

Provisional entries must be clearly marked and accompanied by a second (provisional) cheque to cover these entries. On the Monday immediately after the qualifying event please contact BG and advise them to do one of the following: ~

Bank the provisional cheque as everyone qualified.
Destroy the provisional cheque as nobody qualified.
Destroy / return the original cheque when they receive a new cheque, postdate no later than the Monday following the qualifying competition for the correct value.
o If BG are not contacted on or before the Monday they will bank the original provisional cheque.
o If the replacement cheque does not arrive by midweek the original provisional cheque will be banked.
o If you only send one cheque to cover the complete entry it will be banked regardless of the outcome of any provisional entries.
You will need proof of posting to query the late or non arrival of any entries or payment.

Qualification.

There are minor changes to some qualifying scores and tariffs. A performer needs to be a minimum of 7 years old in 2007 to compete at grade 2. A performer needs to be a minimum of 15 years old in 2007 to enter the senior event. In line with FIG, competitors in the senior events will no longer be required to have a minimum tariff for the two nominated skills in their first routine but the required set score will be raised to reflect this.
The revised scores matrix are available online with the 2007 competitions pack.

Photographic Registration.

It will no longer be possible to obtain photographic passes on the day of a competition.
Everyone must request passes in advance as per national finals.

Welfare Officers

Club welfare officers are not able to 'work' at competitions and the organiser needs to provide a welfare officer / contact for each event.

Judges.

Please note that from January 2007 all nominated judges must be qualified and currently validated
