

Twins Triumph in London Closed Trampoline Competition
Sunday 8th October
Harlington Sports Centre
hosted the annual London Trampoline Closed event and graded event
The highlight of the day was the Ladies and Men's event, where any grade 1 or 2 gymnast can compete to see who is the best in the London region. Kingston Trampoline Academy were determined to do well.
In the Men's event the successful team of Andrew Freeman, Michael Freeman, Matthew Dries and Ross Harding (the team that also won the London youth games in July) took the team title, then with the new ruling of 2/3 finals it was a Kingston Trampoline Academy final with all scores back to zero, Ross was competing in his first Men's event and finished 4th, Matt 3rd Michael 2nd and Andrew taking the title, by the narrowest of margins 0.1 from his twin brother.
In the ladies event Kingston had 9 gymnasts, many of the gymnasts competing new moves to comply with the minimum criteria for this group, the ladies first team of Emma Britton, Kate Bramall, Elise Gibbins and Nicola Britton won the team event in great style 3 of the team members are only 12! Individually Emma Sweeney 28th, Alice MacAuley 24th, Katherine Pilkington 23rd, Beth Lumb 22nd (currently training at Kingston, but does not represent) Alice White completed their routines well, and it was their first time in the ladies event. Nicola Britton finished in 13th Elise Gibbins in 10th Kate Bramall in 5th and Emma Britton became London youngest ladies champion!
So 2 sets of twins were in the winning ladies and men's teams, and twins claimed the titles of London region champions!!
In the grade 1 and 2 age group event, gymnasts from Kingston took the top spots in each group,
Under 11 Zoë Preston 1st and Brother Sam Preston 2nd
Under 13 Cassandra Weitz 1st Elise Gibbins 2nd Nicola Britton 3rd along with Emma Britton they also won the team event 2nd placed team Gemma Pullman, Alice MacAuley, Katherine Pilkington and Anna Carter
Under 15 Ross Harding 1st
Under 17 Kate Bramall 1st
Over 17 Andrew Freeman 1st Michael Freeman 2nd and Matthew Dries 3rd, they also won the team event
Head coach Sarah Silvester was extremely delighted with the results and pleased with the consistency and progress all the gymnasts have made to walk away with all the titles is an exceptional feat which has never been achieved by any club in London!
In the graded event the success and trophies continued

2 More Qualifiers for National Finals
The last grade 2 of the season saw Anna Carter and Katherine Pilkington qualify to compete in the National grade 2 finals, which will be held in Hull 18/19 of November
In the under 11 event Sam Preston who has already qualified for the finals, was entered in the validation event and achieved the scores to compete at grade 1 next year
Zoë Preston performing her new routine with a higher difficulty made the top 8 in her group and finished the final in 7th place; Zoë has already qualified for the finals.
Anna Cater and Katherine Pilkington, both achieved the scores for National finals in the under 13 group.
In the under 17 event Kate Bramall, won her 3rd 1st place of the year
Under 19 Ollie Lee came 3rd in his 2nd grade 2 event.
