OCTOBER & AUGUST NEWS

Grade 2 Northern Ireland Competition

On Saturday 6th October, 7 of us had a very long day; travelling to Ireland at 6am. The competition took place at a new venue for us, The Falls Leisure Centre.
Cassy Weitz was up first and qualified for grade 2 finals and finished 2nd in the under 15's.
Alice MacAulay, Zoe Preston and Katherine Pilkington Miksa all competed in the under 13 event and Alice and Zoe qualified for finals, with Katherine just narrowly missing out. Alice finished in 2nd place.
Sam Preston competed in the last group of the day, and unfortunately made an error in his set. We caught the last flight back and arrived back just after 9 pm

The closed section also took place where our grade 2 gymnasts were competing; they all competed very well, and just missed out on a medal in the team finals! Cassy Weitz and Beth Anne both made the top 8 final.
We originally had 49 competitors which meant we had to put up 9 volunteers to officiate for the event, and we had 10 gymnasts who didn't compete; this meant that 2 people did not need to give up their day!
Please can you ensure that when you commit to a competition that you will attend.
