GREAT BRITAIN SELECTIONS
CONGRATULATIONS TO

Elise Gibbins who has been selected to represent Great Britain in the Youth Match against Germany in Germany at the end of September
Andrew Freeman and Michael Freeman who have been selected for the 4 Countries event, which takes place in October in Stuttgart.

1st Aid Course

Saturday 11th October 9.30 – 2.30 this will be held at the college, it is the appointed persons course and costs £20

LONDON SYNCHRO AND DMT COMPETITION

You need to email me if you wish to be entered in this event at Harlington Sports Centre on Sunday 16th November. The cost of each event is £11.50.
THE CLOSING DATE IS 28th SEPTEMBER AND THE COMPETITION WILL TAKE PLACE AT HARLINGTON SPORTS CENTRE, I NEED TO START PUTTING PAIRS TOGETHER ASAP,

Judge Courses

We always need more judges, and you only need to be 15 to do the course, please let me know if you are interested, and we also need parents of gymnasts who compete to volunteer themselves to help out at the competitions as warm up marshal’s and manual results recording. We have to provide lots of officials at each event in relation to the amount of gymnasts that are entered. If we don’t have more parents to help/judges we may have to restrict the amount of entries to the competition.

GYM MARK

We have received are annual assessment, and have achieved all the criteria, so have received a certificate for 08/09. Thank you to Carol Freeman for her continued work on the folders

Competitions

Competing is not compulsory for members, however we do encourage gymnasts to try it out.
Competitions are held Regionally within the London region, times are not distributed until a week before the event, and so if you enter you do need to commit to the whole day. In order to compete you need to have a London license, which does not cost anything but you do need 2 passport-sized photos to go with it. This needs to be completed and handed in at least a month before the competition; if this is not done you cannot compete!
There is a competition closing date, which you need to email atsarah.s@ktacademy.co.uk to be entered and then you need to pay £11.50 for the competition at the next training session. If you do not do this you will not be entered.
The earlier you can commit to the competition the sooner the competition routines can be worked on, the dates for next year are

Depending on the level of competition you need to have some kit to compete in:-
Novice levelWhite shorts and White T shirt and white socks
Regional G Upwards you will need a competition leotard, white socks,
Competition AttireBoys will need to buy white stirrups from Milano pro sport and club leotards are available in club for £24.
Girl’s leotards size 32 and under £34 and size 34 and above £37, please check this fit in advance of the competition.
Other club kit is available polo shirts £10, rain jackets £17, and grey hoodies £20. It is advisable to email me if you require kit.

Forms

It is essential for the smooth and safe running of the academy, that registration forms are completed and returned ASAP once issued. Any change in medical circumstances is reported as soon as the change.

Communication

My (Sarah) mobile number has now changed to please can you let me know of any change of details / contact numbers for gymnasts and for parents. I have a full time job; so cannot always answer the phone during the day. The best way of communication is by email, which I try to answer once a day.
